Coaches Top Retailer award in the USA. Chris owner/operator of The Java Room was selected as the Best Single Location from over 1,400 Dillano Coffee Roasters clients Chris Ambrose, former resident of the Cayman Islands, wins the connoisseurs Brand nation wide. The Java Room is located in West Palm Beach next to the Ibis Golf Course.

The Java Room was created and launched late 2007 following Chris’ return to the US after completing a very successful stint as the Sales Manager of an island food supplier servicing hotels and restaurants. After seeing the need for such an outlet in his home neighborhood, he embarked on extensive research by personally visiting other coffee establishments all over the US and the Caribbean and by constantly browsing the Internet. To complete his preparedness he attended coffee conferences and trade shows.

The Java Room showcases the most modern coffee brewing and coffee-serving equipment with the main ingredient – coffee supplied from Dellanos voted the number one blend by coffee specialists in Seattle. The furniture – tables, chairs and plush sofas contribute to an environment most conducive to relaxation. A visitor can effortlessly engage in conversation whether it be business, social, sports, work on a laptop or simply “chill.” However, with all that, Chris has ensured that Customer Service is incomparable. Before opening the doors he arranged professional training for his staff and since opening personally supervise them with hands on involvement.

Chris attributes much of his success to his international training and experience. He was born in England, grew up in the USA and worked in the service industry as a chef and later in sales in the US and Caribbean. A number of his clients thinks his success is due to a large part because of his friendly personality and ability to hold conversations on almost any topic with anyone regardless of background.

The Java Room clientele is growing as each customer spreads the word. However it was Chris himself who gave the Java Room a kick-start. He grabbed the attention of the hundreds of passers bys in cars the week he opened as they made their way to work. He hired a donkey, dressed it up with coffee sacks and held the reins drinking a cup of coffee while dressed in a Sombrero and poncho to create the look of the well known coffee icon from South America.

Chris Ambrose is confident of the Java Room’s future. The Brand Coaches, recognized as THE specialty branding authority internationally by Tea & Coffee Trade Journal do not disagree.
