Scuba Diver lost off Cayman- CaymanMama Reporter

Search continued till Wednesday morning for Scuba driver who was missing after he botched to make come back on the shore in afternoon on Tuesday. The man of early sixties had moved out in west bay for shore diving off the Cracked Conch.

Staff from the Sun Divers near 3pm informed police about the man as he had failed to return back to the shore. The man as reported has been regular tourist to Cayman from over 15 long years and he was residing in Morritts Tortuga.

When the man went out for dive, he was with five more people while leaving the shoreline. According to the associates of man’s group, some buoyancy problems were experienced by them and he indicated others that he is returning back to shoreline. Further they told the officers that the man was trying to swim back towards the coast and when the group came back he was unable to make back to the shoreline.

A land, air and sea search was instantly launched by Police of Royal Cayman Islands and many other agencies too coupled with the search that included Port Authority, and Environmental Department. Also, helicopter was brought in order to help, but man went un-located.

The search for man got stopped after sunset and then commenced again when the sun rose on Wednesday, yet he has not been located. Environmental Department member, Ronnie Dougal said “the water conditions were pretty good off Cracked Conch that day and there appeared to be very little current. The missing man was a farmer and he had been informed he was in good physical health.”
