Cayman Brac visited by cruise passengers

Approx 75 passengers of cruise disembarked luxury liner cruise in the Cayman Brac by Hebridean Spirit, Wednesday for one day of sand and sea, walks or may be diving. There were around 85 passengers on ship as explained by Chevala Burke District Administration’s Promotions and Marketing Manager.

She said “I spoke with the tour manager on board the ship and everyone was very pleased with the visit. In particular the passengers loved the food on the beach and the parrot reserve”.

The ship after 8am came in the port area of Creek Dock and the passengers from 9:15am began to travel ashore onto the ships.

The passengers then were taken into towards public breach by means of taxi as well as tour operators that were waiting at dock.

Ms. Burke further said, “The taxi and tour operators were really pleased because they got so much needed business”.

Ms. Burke also added that as the comfort cruise line tour transportation and the beach as well as food on coastline was paid by cruise only.

Cruise-line also arranged for refreshments and food available for the passengers lying on the seaside.

Ms. Burke also said, “Restrooms, showers, cabanas, tents and extra seats were all available on the beach for the passengers’ use”. She also told that there was a lot of interest from local public along with the cars turning towards the dock in order to view tenders, cruise passengers and ship.

The island Cayman Brac is best suited for small ships, even though Ms Burke says that there are some people who are against while some are in favor to visit the cruise ships.
