A committee to build a new Catholic high school serving the northern part of Houston, Texas has been formed. The committee is chaired by Ted Wandstrat, and contains business and academic leaders whose combined experience will get this project off the ground. The goal is to build the new school starting in 2009.

The school will be built in phases, with the first phase costing approximately $20 million and large enough for 300 students. The project has the support of the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese and the pastors of the six parishes that would be feeder schools for new students….St Anne, St Anthony of Padua, St Edwards, St Martha, St Mary Magdalene, and Sacred Heart

This will be a private Catholic high school run by a non-profit Board of Directors who will follow the guidance and leadership of the Cardinal Archbishop and the Superintendent of Catholic schools. It will be accredited by the TCEED. Currently, the committee is evaluating building sites that are central in location to the feeder schools, and conducting a feasibility study that is being completed by Guidance in Giving, Inc.
