The lawyer of Jerry Seinfeld told Associate Press that Jerry was joking while comparing one woman condemning his spouse of plagiarism towards the Martin Luther King Jr. Rev. as well as John Lennon’s killers.

As reported by the New York Daily News in the Tuesday edition that filings in Manhattan, in U.S District Court, the attorneys for ex-sitcom star asked the judge to toss out the lawsuit which was filed by Chase Lapine in opposition to Seinfeld along with his wife.

The lawyer of comedian said, “Jerry Seinfeld made overstatements of opinion for comic effect.”

Chase was seeking indeterminate punitive as well as compensatory damages for the copyright along with the infringement of trademark and made defamation as well as slander claims. Chase Lapine is author of “the sneaky chef: simple strategies for hiding healthy foods in kids’ favorite meals” blamed the wife of Seinfeld for plagiarizing the cookbook.

“Deceptively delicious: simple secrets to get your kids eating good food” is Jessica Seinfeld’s book which was printed in October and Lapine’s manuscript was introduced in April.

The attorney of Seinfeld dismissed the allegations concerning plagiarism in the filing of the court and said “The idea of sneaking healthy foods into a child’s diet is not original to your author.”

Also, Lapine contented in the lawsuit that the Jerry Seinfeld, when making promotional end on CBS’ which is “Late show with David Letterman”, recommended that she was crackpot judging her against to the King and Lennon’s killer.
