Polls among Mayors for the post of presidency

A message by the New Yorkers “Don’t do it, Mike” has been given for the Mayor Michael Bloomberg since he mulled an independent proposal for White House. A majority of the city voters were surveyed throughout the month and people don’t want mayor to run for the post of president. According to the WNBC-Marist College poll which was released on Tuesday common people believes that mayor do not have any prospect of winning the presidency.

A percentage of people who polled Bloomberg think that he has comparatively long shot in to obtain the presidency. But 19 percent of votes would have been drawn by the city voters if Sen. Barack Obama was Democratic nominee.

The director of Marist Institute of Public Polling, Lee Miringoff said “If he does make a go at it [running for president], there’s not going to be any big send-off. Even with his high approval ratings.”

The polls of 649 registered voters’ were completed between 18th Feb and 20th Feb along with outskirts of error of minus or plus 5 percent. Repeatedly Bloomberg have denied that he hardly has any curiosity for running for the post of president, even though his advisers place the foundation for such campaigns. But on Monday the mayor, when asked related to the chances of Ralph Nader said “it’s getting close to being too late for a successful third-party candidacy.”
