The Blackberry has always been a convenient mobile device and PDA in one for many business people for years now. However, last summer a new device was released into the market- a device that was a breakthrough in technology. This smartphone is known as the Apple iPhone. The Apple iPhone converted many loyal blackberry users into Apple fans, but the question on many people’s minds was- is the iPhone a better phone/PDA for business users than the blackberry? The answer is no. Although the iPhone is ideal for media lovers, business features are somewhat relegated to the backseat while design, music, and camera amongst more features are emphasized. Lets take an in depth look at each.

The Apple iPhone is most famously known for its sleek design and who can forget, its touch screen. Unlike other touch screen phones available in the market the iPhone is all touch. Everything that you need to do can be done with the simple touch, or slide of your finger. The iPhone also has the Safari Web browser, which is found on macs, as well as the Mac mail client. One of the prominent features on the iPhone is the iPod. While many mobile phones today have a media player, the iPhone features an an actual iPod. This smartphone also has a 2.0 megapixel camera.

Although the Blackberry does not have a touch screen or is as sleek and good looking as the iPhone, it has many attributes that make it the business central phone of today. Unlike the iPhone, the Blackberry supports different mail clients, features instant messaging and provides a QWERTY keyboard. Like the iPhone some models of the blackberry also has a 2.0 megapixel camera and can play music.

Overall, if you are a business man or woman looking for a phone that will act as your own personal computer, look no further than the Blackberry, however if you are a media lover who want a sexy phone that serve as your social lifeline the iPhone is just the phone for you.
