Strike halts life in Karachi

Karachi: Sunni Tehreek’s call for strike against publication of blasphemous pictures of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Danish newspapers. The strike crippled all business and commercial activities in the city. Due to the protests and demonstration public transport in the city and all major commercial business centers and educational institutes remained closed.

“I am not forming forward bloc” says Amin Fahim

Islamabad: Amin Fahim denied allegations raised against him that he was forming a forward bloc. He met Fazalur Rehman chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan yesterday. He termed his meeting with Fazalur Rehman as personal.

No corruption charges against Zardari

Islamabad: All court cases and corruption charges against Zardari have now been cleared. He has turned out to be the cleanest politician who has no charges against him. Zardari had a number of cases registered against him in different courts and had been imprisoned for over a decade on account of charges levied on him.

Gwadar port beings operation

Quetta: A cargo ship carrying 73,000 tons of wheat from Canada docked at Gwadar port yesterday.

Pakistan Air Force gets 6 JF-17 Thunder aircrafts

Islamabad: 6 more JF-17 Thunder Aircrafts were handed over by China to Pakistan Air Force yesterday. PAF had received 2 such aircrafts earlier.

Karachi Stock Exchange closes just over 15,000 points

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange finished its weekend session just over 15,000 points. It closed at 15,087.47 points.
