Selection of Prime Minister done but the name not made public

Islamabad: Asif Zardari has made his decision on the name of new Prime Minister of the country. He seems to be playing games with the public sentiments or is this some other political measure. The party’s spokes man claimed that the co-chairman had decided upon the name of the new premier and he will be announcing his name as soon as the election schedule is decided upon. Sources are also of the view the Asif Ali Zardari may give a big surprise to the nation.

Immigration officials manhandle deportees

Karachi: 114 illegal job seekers who were deported from Abu Dhabi and arrived at the Karachi International Airport were manhandled by the immigration officials. 102 out of 114 raced out from behind the immigration counters chanting slogans and also destroyed glass wall of the immigration counter and fled away leaving behind their National Identity Cards and passports.

Hong murders – Pakistani man held for his alleged involvement

Hong Kong: Hong Kong police has arrested a Pakistani man for his possible involvement in murder of 4 women.

US ambassador meets the Chief of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan

Islamabad: Anne W. Patterson, US Ambassador met Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday to covey that US feelings on the issues of Judiciary in Pakistan. She confirmed that US felt that independence of judiciary was crucial for stability of the country. The meeting lasted 75 minutes.

Day of disaster at Karachi Stock Exchange

Karachi: Panic sales were witnessed during the day’s session that led to the crash of Karachi Stock Exchange Index by 317 points. The index dipped down below 15,000 point barrier to 14, 513.01 points at the end of the days trading session.
