Kabul: (AFP Report) The hope of friendship with the new government in Pakistan was expressed by the US Vice President Dick Cheney, during his visit to Kabul, Afghanistan. He said the new government had a duty to fight against extremists.

New York: While speaking at a large gathering of students at Harvard University’s Kennedy School, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shaukat Aziz urged the US government to support Pakistan’s newly elected government in tackling the terrorism and the economic challenges faced by them.

Qari Saifullah’s lawyer sue UK publishers, Asif Ali Zardari & others claims $ 200 million on defamation charges

Islamabad: Qari Saifullah’s lawyers have served notice, seeking damages from Simon & Schuster UK Ltd, Asif Ali Zardari and 3 other respondents saying that the contents on the page numbers 221 & 222 of Benazir Bhutto’s book “Reconciliation, Islam, Democracy and the West” were incorrect and baseless. The notices have been served under Secton 8 of Defamation Ordinance 2002 on behalf of his client Qari Saifullah. He is seek $ 200 million in damages.

Successful test flight of Pakistan’s first unmanned plane

Islamabad: Uqaab (Eagle) is the name given to Pakistan’s first Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The senior military officials including the Joint Chief of Army Staff General Ashaf Pervaiz Kayani also witnessed the successful test flight.

Karachi Stock Exchange: Day ends with the gain of 30 points

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange’s trading session ended with a meager gain of 30 points leaving the KSE-100 index at 14,933.87 points, just a little lower than the 15,000 points mark.
