Britney Spears Sitcom Ratings Soar
2008-03-27 04:44:19 (GMT) (Caymanmama.com - Entertainment News) Although the past year or so has been quite tumultuous for Britney Spears, her recent special appearance on the sitcom, “How I met your Mother” brought the show’s hightest ever TV ratings.
The episode starring Spears along side Sarah Chalke from “Scrubs” aired Monday, March 24th, and received 10 million viewers (the highest amount of viewers the show has ever received.) In the episode, she plays a shy and nerdy secretary that falls for the main character,Ted, played by Josh Radnor.
This is Spears’ second attempt to revive her dying career; her first being her performance of the smash hit “Gimme More” on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards which was a major flop. Unlike her performance, her appearance on the sitcom was well received and critics say that she acted quite naturally. Spears has had another special appearance on the Emmy Award winning show Will & Grace.
After this recent appearance, one begins to wonder whether or not the pop sensation is trying to get her act back together or not.
