Typhoid Pizza
2008-03-26 15:11:41 (GMT) (Caymanmama.com - Health News News) Typhoid Fever is a rare infection that effects the intestines and can be passed around by eating food and drinking water that contains the contaminated feces or urine of an infected host. Some symptoms include but are not limited to: fever, headache, chest rash, chills, and diarrhea.
The latest outbreak of this deadly illness was in Mama Sbarro Pizzeria, a small pizza shop located in Hicksville, New York. An employee who had the sickness came into work and made a couple of pizzas before calling in sick on March 17th, 2008. He was then hospitalized and was put under watch.
Although he wore gloves while making the pizza, the health department still says that at least a hundred customers are at a risk to contract this deadly illness. This latest outbreak has made many customers of fast food restaurants take caution in where they eat, and encourages those that are sick to take a day off to recoup from their illness, rather than putting the lives of many at danger.
