Islamabad: Completing their first round of talks, the US Deputy Secretary of State Mr. Negroponte and Richard Boucher, The assistant Secretary of Affairs for South and Central Asian Affairs after meeting Prime Minister, Mr. Yusuf Raza Gilani said that their meeting with the new premier was satisfactory and that they have concluded their first round of talks. Mr. Negroponte will be returning to US on Thursday, leaving Mr. Boucher behind.

Pakistanis wait for announcement of a relief package from the new premier

Islamabad: The new Prime Minister of the country will, on March 29, 2008 after taking a vote of confidence from the new national assembly is due to announce a 100 day relief and reform package. The relief package will be aimed to offset the high cost of fuel and price hike of daily essentials and kitchen items.
