24 members sworn into the cabinet in a grim oath taking ceremony

Islamabad: 24 cabinet members took oath to their offices yesterday in the oath taking ceremony held at the Presidency. The sense of stiffness prevailed in the ceremony. Nine cabinet members belonging to PML-N were wearing black bands around their arms.

Pakistan and US to talk on Fata Policy

Washington: United States has once again stressed on the need of discussing core issues of War against terrorism including the bringing the militants in the tribal areas on the discussion table.

New law and order laws in the making

Islamabad: After going through the terrible law and order situation in the country and for curbing terrorism, Pakistan’s Prime Minister will be announcing new law and order policy soon. His advisor, Rehman Malik is working on this issue including the issues of National security, after which the new policy will be formalized and announced soon.

Pakistan’s Federal cabinet has many new faces

Islamabad: The new federal cabinet of Pakistan which took oath yesterday has many new faces who have taken this position for the first time. Many of the new ministers took charge to their offices immediately in wake of the tough task they face ahead for implementation of 100 days program announced by the Prime Minister.

Karachi stock close at 15,125.29 despite fall of 143 point

Karachi: The news of investigation into the 2 big crashes during the former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz’s regime which resulted in the loss of billions of dollars marred the trading activities in the stock exchange. The investors and traders resorted to panic selling. The Karachi Stock Exchange index at the close of the days trading session stood at 15,125.29 points after a fall of 143 points.
