Pakistan strategy to curb terrorist activities in tribal area supported by US

Washington: Pakistan’s new government’s strategy to curb terrorism in tribal areas got support from the US when the US military chief accepted to work with the new leadership in Pakistan on the formula suggested by them.

The row on reinstatement of judiciary remains unsettled

Islamabad: While the parliament has nearly completed a constitutional package for the reinstatement of judiciary, the lawyer’s community seems not to be favoring the outcome of this new package. According to the nearly completed reinstatement plan, the judiciary members after reinstatement would go through microscope analysis by the parliament. This proposal is not acceptable by the deposed judiciary and the lawyer’s community. The president of Supreme Court Bar Association, Aitzaz Ahsan, refuted this package by saying that it the brain child of the attorney general of Pakistan and any attempt in this line would make every judge controversial.

Pakistan gets $ 100 million for development of social sector from Italy

Islamabad: Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar thanked the Italian government for their gesture of converting $100 debt into a uplift funding. The government now plans to spend $20 million per year into development projects

Nato looks at Pakistan for strengthening security on boarders

Bucharest: Recognizing the strategic importance of Pakistan in the war against terror and for stability in the region, Nato leaders have stressed on more concentrated relationship with Pakistan.

Stock in Karachi Stock Exchange continue their climb

Karachi: The stocks at the KSE maintained their upward trend. The stock exchange trading session closed at 15,345.32 points with a gain of 12.41 points.
