Pakistan, China move towards trade related agreements

Urumqi: (APP) President Perviaz Musharraf’s visit to China has certainly brought results as both the countries have come close on signing trade agreements which are in mutual interest of both the countries. China has been offered an opportunity to invest in the energy sector in Pakistan. President Musharraf has briefed the business leaders about scope of investment in power sector in Pakistan.

Restoration of Judges, National Assembly to pass resolution

Islamabad: Time for fulfilling promise of restoration of judiciary has arrived. Asif, Nawaz and Asfandyar Wali Khan met yesterday to finalize the issue as was agreed and written down in the Murree declaration. They agreed to adopt the resolution for in the current session of the National Assembly.

Pakistan welcomes Chinese sports delegation with Olympic torch

Islamabad: (AFP) Olympic torch arrived at Chaklala air force base in Pakistan at midnight of Tuesday. The route of tour of the Olympic torch has been cut down due to the security reasons.

Import of wheat may be doubled this year

Islamabad: (Reuters Report) Pakistan may have to import 3.5 million tones of Wheat this year. Pakistan though is an agricultural country but is facing shortage of wheat crop.

Karachi Stock Exchange crosses 15,500 mark

Karachi: The KSE-100 index reached at the session’s highest of t 15,559.49 points yesterday but closed at 15,538.45 after a gain of 100.61 points.
