Pakistan not to let go self esteem in its defense and foreign policies

Islamabad: The foreign minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in his address to the national assembly said that the new Pakistani government through the foreign and defense policies must retain self respect. He further added by rejecting the media reports that Pakistani government will be allowing any foreign access to Pakistan’s nuclear assets.

Turkestan Islamic Movement hurting Pakistan China relations

Islamabad: Pakistan and China’s relations are not liked by certain foreign elements like Turkestan Islamic Movement. The group of militants, China believes, operates from within Pakistani territory and is being funded and trained by Al-Qaeda.

US state department debates on correcting the policy on Pakistan

Washington: The US state department marked the errors in the Pakistan policy adopted by the Bush Administration. The department feels that a close relationship with the democratic institutions in Pakistan will help strengthening the peace process in the FATA region of Pakistan. Relying on the army alone has not reaped the required results.

Pakistan to get $956 million between 2008 till 2011

Washington: For infrastructural development Pakistan will be receiving $956 million from the US between the years 2008 and 2011.

The trading session closed at high notes on Friday

Karachi: The stock exchange trading session ended yesterday with a modest gain of 54.04 points. The KSE-100 index stood at 15,693.92.
