Talk with militants supported by UK

Peshawar: Following the footsteps of the US, UK too agrees on finding peaceful solutions with the militants in the Pakistani tribal areas. David Miliband during his visit to Pakistan met the political leaders of the country and stressed on the need of initiating talk in the tribal areas with the militants who are willing to adapt peaceful means reconciliation.

Resolution for reinstatement of judiciary ready

Islamabad: The official sources of the ruling party have said that the draft proposal of resolution is ready and will be presented in the National Assembly in a week’s time.

Nawaz Sharif meets Law Minister to discuss judiciary issue

Lahore: The Law Minister Farooq H. Naek visited Lahore to meet Mian Nawaz Sharif, the chief of Pakistan Muslim League (N) to discuss the modalities for the reinstatement of the deposed judges.

PPP and MQM decide upon security plan for Karachi

Karachi: Long awaited peace might return to Karachi. With the terrorist acts of the MQM leaving bad mark on the business and political activities of the city, finally the new ruling party felt the need of chalking out a security plan for the city. Both the parties and their chiefs have said to agree on the peace plan. With a political party like MQM, coming days will show how long will the security plan last.

Reconciliation process restarts between Pakistan Peoples Party and MQM

Karachi: After a short break in the dialog between the political parties in Sindh, the PPP and MQM once again sat down to discuss the possibilities of working together in the Sindh.
