Gametap.com: CNN reported that Steven Spielberg, collaborating with Electronic Arts, created the Boom Blox, a video game which is part of the 3-game deal between the two. The senior producer, Amir Rahimi, said “Steven came up with the idea for the game after playing Wii Sports with Shigeru Miyamoto. He then came to EA with a very simple and universal idea to build a game that leverages the Wii Remote and allows players to stack up blocks and knock them over. It was also very important to him to create a game that he could play with his family.”

The game is large with several game modes, 300 levels and 30 wacky blocks characters. In addition to that, the players can also construct their own levels with the help of an editor available in the game. According to Rahimi, Spielberg used to visit the offices of the Electronic Arts every week in order to review the progress of the game, to pitch ideas and to provide feedbacks. “Steven would take early versions home to play with his family, ” Rahimi said.

The game is the Wii remote only game which has primary game play mechanics, and the multiplayer mode has co-operative and competitive games. In simple words, the concept of the game is simple and a lot of fun from the outside, but beneath the surface it is quite complex.
