Depression is a mental illness where the sufferer a sense of sadness, hopelessness, and uselessness that can become consuming. Depression is very common and can happen amongst everyone, and often runs in the family.

There are numerous ways that you can treat depression, the most obvious being anti-depressants. Besides these medications you can also attend therapy, talk about your feelings with friends and also try to do activities that make you happier.

Is there any way that I can prevent depression?

There is no real way from preventing depression; however you can prevent depression from getting worse. You can do this by, taking your medications regularly, eating a healthy diet, and attending therapy regularly.
