Reinstatement of judiciary issue may lead to collapse of 1 month old coalition
Islamabad: The changing colors of politics in Pakistan may lead to the collapse of one month old coalition government. Mian Nawaz Sharif, the chief of Pakistan Muslim League rushed to Dubai to meet Asif Ali Zardari after the talks between Shahbaz Sharif and the PPP chief did not bring any results. Nawaz choose to go to Dubai in his last attempt to save the new coalition government from breaking up.
Oil prices to go up by 5 to 7 percent
Islamabad: The inevitable rise in the price of oil might take place soon. The ministry of petroleum has requested for the increase in price of petroleum by 5% to 7%. The will be the forth upward revision of price in oil in Pakistan within the span of 2 months.
$650 million approved by Asian Development Bank
Islamabad: The government of Pakistan is likely to get $650 million from Asian Development Bank. The government had made this request to the bank for emergency budgetary support.
Suicide Bomber arrested, jackets recovered
Dera Ismail Khan: Police arrested a man who was in possession of 2 jackets with explosives weighing 15 kilos each. The arrest took place during routine checking at Chonda checkpoint.
Political uncertainty plays negative part on Karachi Stock Exchange
Karachi: Stocks took a dip yesterday on grounds of deadlock between the political partners. The stock lost 129 points bringing the index to 15,130 points.
