New York: The Times magazine has named General General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, the Chief of Army Staff among the 100 most influentional people. The list also includes the names of Baitullah Mehsud, Sonia Ghandi, President of China Hu Jintao.
Peace package of $4 billion for Frontier Province unveiled
Peshawar: Peace plan package of $ 4 billion was unveiled by the Chief Minister of NWFP. The package outline reduction of militancy by 30% in the next 3 years, recovery of land lost to militant etc.
Suicide bombing in Khyber Agency injures 17 people
Landi Kotal: Suicide bomber blew himself off in a mosque in Bara in Khyber Agency. In the bomb explosion injured 17 people. According to the eyewitnesses the bomber, a 16 or 17 year old boy was carrying a pistol, he detonated the explosive as he was approached the group of people who were taking their Quran lessons.
