Police to take over law and order situation in Gwadar and Quetta

Quetta: FC forces will withdraw from Quetta and Gwadar after a decision has been reached by the Federal Government. The Police will take over the charge of law and order situation of these 2 cities.

Working relationship with the President to be decided by the parliament

Multan: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani, while talking to the newsmen at the press club in Multan said the parliament will be deciding upon the working relationship with the president of the country.

JUI chief doubtful about reinstatement of judiciary

Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of JUI has expressed his doubt about reinstatement of judges by May 12, 2008. He expressed his views by saying when no decision can be achieved within the 30 days time frame set in by the PPP and PML-N, how can the same decision can be concluded by May 12, 2008.

Missing people to be traced by 2 committees

Quetta: The secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party reconciliatory committee, Senator Baber Awan confirmed that the government has set up two committees who would trace the missing people of Raisani, Marri and Bugti tribes.

Musharraf’s allay Chaudhry Shujaat refuses to quit party’s presidency

Islamabad: In an unprecedented and bold move Chaudhry Shujaat of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) refused to obey the President’s order of quitting from the parties presidency, though he confirmed continuance of his support for the President of the country. The power brokerage through the President of the country on the request of PPP is being done as Pakistan Peoples Party is aligning other political forces in case PML-N headed by Nawaz Sharif decides to quit the coalition.
