Dallas Cowboys move to HBO is inevitable
2008-05-06 21:15:20 (GMT) (Caymanmama.com - Dallas News News)Dallas, Texas (CaymanMama.com) — The Dallas Cowboys have been called “America’s Team” and that will be solidified once their training season begins. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys will be heading back to Oxnard, California for training camp and are expected to invite HBO to broadcast their training.
The deal has been called “imminent” and the film deal is slated to cover 5-6 weeks of training which is set to air on the HBO show titled Hard Knox. Late July is when training camp is scheduled to begin in Oxnard since last season’s training was held in San Antonio, Texas.
Of the three seasons of the HBO show, this will be the first for the Cowboys. According to the Dallas Morning News report, “ In 2001, the then-Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens were the first team to allow NFL Films to film every meeting and practice as well as show how players spent time away from the field. The Kansas City Chiefs appeared last season.”
Officials for the Cowboys left no comment though the president of HBO sports claims that there is “nothing to report” regarding a deal with the Cowboys.
