Seattle, Washington (CaymanMama.com) — CNN reported that after Microsoft was declined from its bid for Yahoo, news came that Microsoft was also approached Facebook. This, however, is not true. Sources at Microsoft have revealed that the the Yahoo pursuit is actually over and that the company has no urgent intentions to replace Yahoo with any other Internet business.

It has also been told that the Microsoft has no intentions to purchase Facebook and to increase the share of the Microsoft in the famous social networking web site of Facebook. Interestingly, other investors including Li Kai-Shing, a billionaire of Hong Kong and Founders Fund, a venture capital group of Germany have invested subsequently in Facebook.

Ray Ozzie, the Chief Software Architect of Microsoft is the mentor and a friend of Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, and the two persons talk with each other often. Microsoft, Yahoo and Google are the biggest three search engines and all have their reasons to get close to the Facebook so that their engines can find out the search data out there.

Last year, Microsoft made a small investment in Google, but as far as Facebook is concerned, its founder Zuckerberg is not interested in compromising with his joy and pride and furthermore he does not need to infuse money at present. But a significant offer may even get attention of Zuckerberg, but why would Microsoft pay that much to buy Facebook.
