London: The marathon of meetings came to an end on Sunday. In decisive meetings by the leaders of political parties failed in reconciling the differences in opinion. Nawaz Sharif is due to arrive back on Monday where he will be holding meetings with the central working committee to decide the future of coalition.

Islamabad: The last ray of hope of the people of Pakistan diminished when they heard Nawaz Sharif speaking to the media about the failure of meeting and various efforts from the part of PML-N to salvage the situation. The working committee of PML (N) will meet today to decide the fate of coalition between the 2 major political parties.

Gilani meets PML – Q forward block leaders

Islamabad: The possibility of collapse of the coalition between PPP and PML-N led the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to hold meetings with Pakistan Muslim League (Q) deserters who have favored Mian Nawaz Sharif after the election. The forward block leaders claim to have support of 40 parliament leaders.

Richard Boucher’s last minute effort to say the government from collapse turns sour

Washington: Richard Boucher, US Assistant Secretary of State dashed to UK to hold talks with Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari but the meeting did not bring desired results. The US media is predicting the collapse in the government’s setup.

Protection of Judges who took under Presidential order favored by PPP

Lahore: Speaking to the newsmen Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan Peoples Party wanted to provide safe passage to judges who took under PCO. The party leader also said the PML-N had unwillingly accepted on retention of PCO judges but PPP has other issues on mind as well and wanted to protect these PCO judges at the cost of other who had refused to take other under military pressure.
