Chongqing: Massive earth quake in the Western Sichuan province took lives of 9000 people. 7.8 magnitude earth quake left many people stranded under toppled buildings. Thousands have been injured and many are rendered homeless.

Milan: (Reuters) The surging price of rice due to the frantic buying and stocking of the commodity amidst fears of shortage. The fact is that the world rice output is expected to be the highest this year. The rise in the price of rice in this respect will be short lived.
