Burbank, California (CaymanMama.com) — ‘ER’, one of television’s popular medical dramas which has been a favorite prime time series, is expiring next February as its 14th season will move closer to the end of the series. Executive producer, Christopher Chulak, who has taken a sabbatical from directing the show said, “It just shakes you up a little.” However, the end of the ‘ER’ series is the not just the conclusion of popular television series but the end of an epoch in the history of broadcast television. The ‘ER’ series ushered a new wave of drama during the 1990’s along with ‘Chicago Hope.’

‘ER’ is one of the highest awards nominated series and launched the career of George Clooney. Such is the history of ‘ER’ series that Clooney’s basketball jersey is framed on the wall of ‘ER’ sets who loved to play hoops at studio sets. However, the executive producer of ‘ER’ series, John Wells, is not melancholy about ‘ER’s’ end as he said, “It’s a great luxury because it means we can plan the ending properly.”

Within a month, the writing staff will write the final season of ‘ER’ series that includes two new actors such as David Lyons along with Angela Bassett and one of the former stars.
