Asif to decide upon resignation by PML-N

Islamabad: Action on resignations of nine federal ministers of PML-N will be decided by Asif Ali Zardari after his arrival from Dubai. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari in his optimistic statement said “Lets wait, we will try to resolve the matter.”

Fresh oath to Judges Office not justified

Lahore: The deposed judges have received offers to take fresh oath to their office. The judges who received such offers said that they would not think about returning to they offices without Chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. They are also of the opinion that as they are still the judges of Supreme Court, taking fresh oath seems senseless.

Talk with Pakistani Taliban Chapter termed successful

Peshawar: The Tehreek-e-Taliban chief and the government representative met here on Tuesday. Both the sides seemed optimistic and claim that they have agreed on ceasefire for the time being and wait till the next round to discussions.

Did PML – N change its position on reinstatement of deposed judges?

Islamabad: Mian Nawaz Sharif’s decision to quit the 43 days old coalition came after he returned from London on the pretext that his party will agree on retaining the new bench of judges who had taken oath under PCO. After the Dubai talk, during his press conference the PML-N leader had said that PPP and PML-N had reached a consensus up restoration of judiciary while retaining the current judges who had taken oath under PCO - Provisional Constitution Order. The change of heart by the party leader had led to new political crises.

KSE-100 index jumps up y 255.89 points

Karachi: The Karachi Stock exchange jumped back by gaining 2555.89 points yesterday. The name of Shaukat Tareen being proposed as the new finance minister brought a steer in the market. The KSE-100 index stood at 14,542.50
