US aid or turns into aid for US

Washington: Astonishing but true, almost 30% of the US aid distained to reach Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries is paid of as over head charges and consultation fee within the US. The amount never reaches destinations in full.

Pakistan lodges protest against US attack in Pakistani territory

Islamabad: Pakistan has lodged strong protest against the attack by the US forces inside the Pakistani soils. The attack on Damadola has left 14 people dead and has brought destruction in the area. Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has put this issue on his agenda to discuss it President Bush when the two leaders meet in Middle East on Sunday.

US asked to be patient till the talk with Taliban ends

Karachi: The Pakistan’s Defense Minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar says that the US should be patient and should not preempt any situation. He said that the talk with Taliban will bear results for the whole world and not only for Pakistan.

Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) briefs the PM and high ranking government officials

Islamabad: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani along with Defense Minister, the foreign minister and the co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples part attended a briefing on the security situation, border situation and the current situatin in the triba areas f Pakistan. Surprisingly Asif Ali Zardari who is not a government official neither he is the parliamentarian un oath, attended this meeting. His attendance has raised eyebrows in the government, official and political circles.

Stock continue loosing strength – Thanks to un-certain political situation

Karachi: Karachi stock exchange continued its downward trend on Friday. The KSE-100 index closed at 14,232.89.
