Bush meets Yousuf Raza Gilani

Sharm-el-Sheikh (Reuters) Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani met the US President George W. Bush on Sunday. Both the leader met and discussed various issued ranging from Kashmir to the poverty stricken Pakistani. Mr. Bush expressed appreciation for the advancement made in solving Kashmir issue and also promised an economic package for Pakistan

President Supreme Court Bar Association not to take part in by-election

Lahore: Aitzaz Ahsan announced yesterday that he has decided not to participate in the forthcoming by-election. The ground for his decision to boycott the polls is the movement for restoration of judiciary. He and his alleys have decided to carry on with the struggle till justice is served and the deposed judges are restored.

Investment in Agricultural development urged by World Bank

Islamabad: (APP) The World Bank report named “Agriculture for development” stresses on the need for investment in the agricultural sector of the developing countries to reduce the level of poverty and food shortage by 50% by the year 2015.

Economy and fight against terror – prime focus of Pakistani government

Sharm-el-Sheikh: Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani, while addressing the International community said that the economic development and the fight against terror are the main issues with which his government is dealing with. He assured the International business community that Pakistan is well on course of development and the economic policies will remain unchanged and said that Pakistan is ready for business.

PPP is committed on restoration of judiciary

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party stays committed on its commitment of restoration of judiciary, said the Federal Minister for Law, Mr. Farooq H. Naek, during his interview at DAWN News.
