Pakistan & India to sign accord for consular access to prisoners

Islamabad: The delegations of both the neighboring countries meet to sign agreements on providing consular access to prisoners in the jails of Pakistan and India. Both the sides are on the same wave length on other major issues like Kashmir and have stated that Pakistan and India have to go a long way before coming to an agreement.

Malik speaks Musharrafs word

Peshawar: The famous words “writ of the state” were uttered by Rehman Malik in his meeting with the elders of the South Waziristan and Fata regions. While speaking on this occasion, the PM’s advisor on the Interior, Mr. Rehman Malik said that troops will not be withdrawn from these troubled regions till the writ of the government is established. He said that the government knows that its neighbors are behind the problems in FATA, but he refrained from naming them.

Changing colors of politics – PML-Q welcomes constitution package

Islamabad: It is not long before when PMl-Q supported governments move to sack the judiciary on Nov. 03, 2007. Now the same political party speaks against the sacking of judiciary and has termed it as unconstitutional.

Bill for amendment in the constitution ready for presentation – says Naek

Islamabad: The hard working Law Minister, who claimed to have spent the whole day - WOW in his office for the purpose of finalizing the draft of 18th amendment to the 1973 constitution has finally prepared the bill and will be presenting it to PPP’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for approval. The PPP has called its central executive committee meeting on the 24th of the this month in which all the members will be taken into confidence on this subject.

KSE-100 index stages a modest recovery on Tuesday

Karachi: After a severe dip, the Karachi Stock Exchange staged a recovery by 37.76 points taking the index to 13,903.12 points at the end of the days trading session.
