Islamabad: Ishaq Dar, Pakistan Muslim league (N) leader said that Asif Ali Zardari has agreed to fix the work tenure of the Chief justice of Supreme Court to 5 years. Mr. Dar said that Mr. Zardari’s agreement on the tenure has been welcomed by PML-N. Mr. Dar met Zardari to discuss the constitutional amendment package.
Constitutional amendment to be table before or after the budget session
Lahore: While speaking to the newsmen on Sunday, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, said that every possible effort will be made by the ruling party to avoid confrontation with the President of Pakistan. He said that the constitutional amendment bill will be tabled before or after the budget session.
Zardari ready to talk to the President – despite differences
Islamabad: During an interview with the local TV channel, Mr. Zardari said that his party will make sure that all deposed judges are reinstated. He also said that he can collect support for impeachment of the President but would want to avoid any confrontation. He added that he is ready to talk to the President in spite of the differences.
