Washington: President Pervaiz Musharraf got a call from the US President yesterday. Both the old alleys talked about the political situation in Pakistan. President Bush assured Musharraf on the continued support from the US.
Remarks given about PML-Q leaders misinterpreted by DAWN says A.Q.Khan
Islamabad: As reported by Dawn yesterday that Dr. A. Q. Khan had blamed PML-N leaders Chaudhry Shujaat and S. M. Jaffar, it is learnt that Dr. A. Q. Khan has re-tracked from his words. Mr. A. Q Khan’s wife in her e-mail said that report has given a false impression implicating false charges on Dr. Khan’s dear friends.
Local Taliban accept offer of talk – announce cease fire in Mardan
Mardan: The local Tablian’s spokesman, Maulvi Abdullah while speaking to the press via telephone accepted offer for negotiations and announced ceasefire. During his telephonic press conference he accepted responsibility of carrying of killing, suicide bomb attacks and other terrorist activities to avenge to deaths of his fellowmen.
UN to receive a formal request for probe in Benazir Bhutto’s assassination
Islamabad: A formal request to the United Nations requesting International probe into the suspected International conspiracy into the Late Ms. Bhutto’s killing in Pakistan. The formal request will be handed over to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon through Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN – Mr. Munir Akram.
Karachi Stock Exchange Trading affected due to political uncertainties
Karachi: The forth coming budget and the current political uncertainty loomed over the trading session of Karachi Stock Exchange. Stocks lost 104.54 points during the days trading session.
