Houston TX (CaymanMama.com) — The Houston Chronicle reported that a medical helicopter carrying a patient from Huntsville crashed in Sam Houston National Forest in the early hours of Sunday. Four people including the patient died as the result of the crash. The medical helicopter was called in to carry David Disman 58, resident of Huntsville. He was being shifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Three others who were killed in the crash were nurse, Jana Bishop of Magnolia aged 29; paramedic Stephanie Waters aged 27 and the pilot Wayne Kirby, 63.

The reasons for the crash are being investigated by the National Transportation & Safety Board.

The hospital authorities are also searching for the reason of calling for air transportation for the patient as at the time like 3:00 AM road transportation through an ambulance could have been fast enough to meet the emergency needs of the patient.

As per an official’s statement “While there is always a risk, there are far more ambulance accidents in the U.S. than helicopter accidents.”

Some may call it their fate but the fact is that the medical copter crash led to the death of the earning members of the family who unwillingly become a victim of the crash. Reason of the crash could be any - the flying conditions, weather, ground preparations, pilot’s error, or the mechanical malfunction etc.
