New Delhi: Former defense secretary N.N.Vohra has been appointed as the governor for Kashmir. His appointment has been looked upon favorably by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Kashmir resistance leader.

London (Reuters): A forgetful intelligence official left a file of top secret documents in a train. The documents were retrieved by a passenger who handed those documents to BBC. BBC confirmed that the file contained some important top secret document on Iraq and Al-Qaeda. The cabinet office later confirmed that the documents got lost in a train.
India’s steps to curb the country’s rising food prices criticized by the World bank and the US
Washington: India has imposed ban on export of Basmati Rice and edible oils to maintain food stock in the country and to curb the rising prices of food. At the same time such bans on export of food gains will cause increase in the International prices of grains and also effect the South Asian neighbors of India
