No solid affirmation expected on increase in oil production

Washington (AFP) While the increase in the oil production by 200,000 barrels in July by Saudi Arabia was welcomed by the US, the White House spokesman stated that US did not hope of any firm commitment coming out from the Saudi hosted meeting with the oil producers and the major users of the commodity, which is supposed to be held this week end.

Crude oil touches top at $140 per barrel

New York: (AP) In spite of Saudi promise of increasing the oil output by 200,000 barrels for July, the oil prices reached the peak of $140 per barrel yesterday. The investors focus was not on increase of oil production but they fixed their eyes on the weakening dollar.

Afghanistan blame on Pakistan not true – says US general

Washington: “Insurgency in Afghanistan will never end, even if the boarders with Pakistan are absolutely closed” said a US geneal “Look, our Afghan brothers often utter that all their problems have to do with Pakistan. And you and I know – if you’ve traveled in that region, you know that’s not accurate,” he said. “There’s not a Pakistani miscreant behind every tree in Afghanistan. It’s simply not so.”

First time ever a US general has given is open and frank remarks in situation of Afghanistan. Karzai;s blame on Pakistan came immediately after the report in the New York Times saying that the US and Europeans are growing frustrated with the Afghan President.

Risk of terror attack looms UAE

Dubai (AFP): As per reports from the British Embassy say that terrorist might attack the Gulf city of Dubai. “There is a high threat from terrorism. We believe terrorists may be planning to carry out attacks in the UAE,” said a travel advice posted online by the embassy.

Risk Management process by Iran - $ 75 billion withdrawn from Europe

Tehran: (Reuters) As the pressure from the US and Europe increased on Iran and due to the threats of new sanctions against Iran increased, Iran withdrew $75 billion from Europe. Iran, the forth largest oil producer of the world has up till now not bowed down to the requests and warning from the west.
