Prosecutors are still investigating whether the renowned company Testwell had falsified some of the test results, or was billed for the double as well as triple results that were never conducted, stated officials.
The official also added that the newly built Yankee Stadium is the main focus of the investigation, in addition to the 102-story tall skyscraper, Freedom Tower, which is being constructed at the place of the destroyed trade center. Along with them, around a dozen projects may also be involved.
According to the owner of the trade center site and spokesman of Yankees, the projects were had sound structures and many independent tests had already been conducted upon the concrete Testwell.
Telephone calls and e-mails to the office of company’s Ossining as well as an attorney were not instantly returned.
According to the department of buildings, “take action based on the findings of law enforcement.” The city, which is cracking down on the construction companies in the middle of boom in the record buildings as well as various deadly accidents, cannot instantly tell about the number of construction projects that Testwell has worked upon.
