San Francisco, California (CaymanMama.com) — Jerry Yang celebrated his first anniversary as a CEO of Yahoo on Wednesday but this has not turned out to be a good week. On Thursday, Yahoo search executives, Vish Makhijani and Qi Lu, left Yahoo and joined Brad Garlinghouse. This week, Yahoo also saw exits of four other top managers. After beating the $45 billion proposal of Microsoft, Jerry is now trying to repair the even keel of the company.

One of the mid-level employees of Yahoo said a long time back that he does not think Jerry Yang is the right candidate as a CEO. People had lots of hopes from Jerry when he joined the company but as he rejected the Microsoft proposal, a number of people got angry with him.

Under the watch of Yang, stocks of Yahoo lost 17% value and by rejecting the Microsoft’s offer, he made himself a target of lawsuits by shareholders and activists like Icahn.

Earlier, the former CEO of Yahoo from Hollywood, Terry Semel, spent 6 years in making Yahoo a big media company and Yang was seen as the perfect choice to replace him. Yahoo President, Sue Decker, said that she thinks that Jerry is still the right choice for the company and that she is impressed by the way Jerry has handled himself during and even after the Microsoft bid.

In order to stay independent, the company declared last Thursday that it has ended any negotiations with the Microsoft and as alternative, it is outsourcing a part of the paid results to Google. By doing this, the Yahoo will be able to focus on the market which combines both graphics display ads as well as paid search ads. Critics have commented that Yahoo has decided to join hands with Google because the CEO of the company, Yang, is slow to cope up with the technologies of Google for advertising.
