Seoul: (AFP) A day after handing over the details of its nuclear program the North Korean government demolished the cooling tower. The 30 meter went down bringing an end to the nuclear history of the country. The US state department termed the demolition of the tower as an important step.

Microsoft goes without Bill Gates

San Francisco: (AFP) The legendary co-founder of Microsoft announced his retirement. He spent the last day at his office where he had spend 33 years of his life to build an empire. He will, with his wife, look after the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.

North Korean documents marked as incomplete by the US

Washington: (AP) On one hand, the move of handing over the nuclear documents to the US was welcomed. On the other the papers are being termed as incomplete as some basic and very important information is still missing.

Nelson Mandela celebrates birthday – raises funds for his global IDS campaign

London: (AFP) Mandela’s 90th birthday was celebrated in London yesterday. A star studded concert was organized on this occasion which was attended by Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other celebrities. The concert was used a the fund raiser for Mandela’s global aid program

Hailstorm causes damage to 30,000 VW cars

Berlin (AFP): 30,000 VW vehicles that were parked at the factory were damaged when hail storm hit the vehicles. The damage could amount to $ 157 million.
