US military get clear signal to target Al-Qaeda leaders in Pakistan

Washington (Dawn Report) Admiral Mike Mullen, the US top military official said that he has all the authority he need to target and kill Al-Qaeda leaders inside Pakistan. He maintained a mum in reply to a question regarding his authority on the military action inside Pakistan.

Third round of indirect talk between Israel and Syria begin

Ankara (AFP): The third round of indirect talks between Syria and Israel began in Istanbul on Tuesday. The Turkish Foreign Minister said that positive results of these indirect dialogs will help in renewing peace in the Middle East.

Fresh violence in Sri Lanka leaves 27 dead

Colombo (AFP): Tamil Tigers and the government’s security forces have come face to face once again. The fresh clashes have left 27 rebels and 2 soldiers dead.

Knife Crime crackdown in UK – Police arrests 1214 people

London (Reuters): The London police has arrested 1214 people in their six week search on knife crimes. The new London Mayor had sworn to tackle knife crimes when he took oath to his office. His commitment has resulted in searching 2700 people and recovery of 528 knives by London police.

Time runs out for India and US to sign nuclear deal

Washington (Reuters): Chairman of the House of Representatives Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia Gary Ackerman, said that the time has run for both India and the US for signing the nuclear deal.
