Islamabad: Pakistani top Nuclear scientist during his interview with foreign media raised accusing finger at the army by saying that no
nuclear shipment can leave or arrive at ports of Pakistan without the knowledge and permission of the army. His disclosures about the shipments of nuclear consignments have created a steer within the
country as well as abroad. Regarding Dr. Khan’s statements Pakistan’s defense minister Ch. Ahmed Mukhtar said that such statement could be harmful for the country and for Dr. Khan who is under virtual house arrest.

Last bid by the government of Pakistan to solve issues without operation in Frontier province

Landi Kotal: The operation which was supposed to go underway has been temporarily suspended on the request of tribal leader. A jirga (meeting of elders of 16 tribes) will be held in which Mangle Bagh will be advised to accept the deal proposal of the government and to
stop fighting the security forces. The security forces have been kept ready to resume their operation in case the jirga fails.

Arms, suicide vest recovered during search operation, 9 suspects held

Tank: The security forces arrested 9 people and recovered suicide vests, arms and equipment in Jandola, Frontier Province during their search operation from the house of a Muslim cleric.

PML-Q’s white paper full of contradictory statements - says Sherry Rehman

Karachi: While speaking to the press, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sherry Rehman said that the white paper prepared by PML-Q is full of contradictory statements. She said that her party has always welcomed democratic process and criticism. She said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan will soon present the achievements of his government during the first 100 days of his premiership. Regarding the working of the previous government the Information minister said that PML-Q should also be ready to listen to the criticism on their working in their previous tenure as it was full of errors and follies of the rulers.

Stocks hit record low at the last trading day of the week

Karachi: Market on Friday remain low maintaining the low trend that persisted through out the week. 5.349 million shares were traded as the investors remained off the market activities.
