Bomb blast rocks Islamabad; revenge of Red Mosque massacre taken

Islamabad: At least 40 people were injured and 19 people including 15 policemen died in a suicide bomb blast yesterday in Islamabad. July 6th was being celebrated as the first anniversary of Red mosque martyrs where clerics were addressing the attendants of the conference and were talking against the authorities responsible for the killing of thousands of Muslims in the Red Mosque. The bomb blew off in the Melody Market market area while the conference was in progress.

Government may partly expose Dr. Khan’s network

Islamabad: After the damaging and unthoughtful comments made by Mr. Khan to the International and local media, the government of Pakistan has decided to bring some evidences collected by the investigation agencies about Dr. A. Q. Khan’s involvement in nuclear proliferation in the knowledge of public of Pakistan. These facts have been video taped along with repeated confession by Dr. Khan during the 60 hours long interrogation by the intelligence agencies.

Asia Cricket Cup final - Sri Lanka beats India

Karachi: Sri Lanka defeats India by 100 runs in the Asia Cricket cup final held in Karachi yesterday. All thanks to the amazing spin bowling of Ajantha Mendis of Sri Lanka that helped the country in retaining the Asia Cup. The Sri Lankan team received the Asia Cup from the President of Pakistan who was present at the occasion.

Wedding party in Afghanistan attacked by US led forces

Jalalabad: US led forces killed over 22 Afghans mostly women and children who were attending a wedding ceremony. The forces however claim that only militants died in the attack. The Afghan President has ordered an inquiry into this matter.

Stock Exchange at Karachi - poor performance throughout the week

Karachi: With the investors waiting for any positive news did not seem interested in any investment and trading activities due to which the Karachi Stock Exchange faced low trading.

The KSE saw its lowest trading session on the last trading day that was trading of 5.349 million shares.The financial institutions too failed to rescue the Karachi Stock Exchange from the low market sentiments.
