Islamabad: During the meeting in Dubai Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Pakistan People Party chief Asif Ali Zardari agreed to reshuffle and expand the federal cabinet to improve governance.

Soviet radioactive material found buried in containers in Gas Development Authority workshop

Islamabad: 2 containers containing radioactive material were found in the oil and gas development corporation work shop. The containers were found buried in the premises. According to the sources the neutron source material believed to be of Soviet origin could have been buried for decades.

Breach of ceasefire by Indian army alongside line of control, Pakistan army fires in retaliation

Islamabad: As per press reports, Indian army started firing mortars and small arms in Battal sector (Kashmir). Pakistani army had to fire in return. Indian army sources confirmed the incident of firing but also maintained that its troops fired on suspected militant activity and not on Pakistan Army.

Lawyers chalk out new strategy - force government to accept their demand

Islamabad: The President of Supreme court bar association while addressing the lawyers convention proposed new method of agitation. He proposed blocking of all major road through the country for two hours on every Thursday. Decision to this regard will be taken on July 19, during the All Pakistan Lawyer’s convention.

He said that the deposed judges who are interested in taking governments offer of joining office will be considered PCO judges.

Karachi Stock Exchange suffers further loss

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange suffered another loosing day with the trading level at an all time low of 5.5 million shares. The stocks exchange lost 23.35 points leaving the index at a low level of 11,773.12 points.
