Los Angeles, California (CaymanMama.com) — The controversial movie directed by Oliver Stone received unwanted promotion this weekend after two of the movie’s stars, Jeffrey Wright and Josh Brolin, were arrested after a drunken brawl in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Local police were called after 2 am to the Stray Cat bar in order to deal with the disruptive patrons, as mentioned the Shreveport Times. Wright, Brolin and five other bar patrons tried their best to halt the brawl along with the police officer but were later accused of interfering with police.

A Brolin insider reported that Josh was not at all involved in the physical scuffle like the news outlets reported previously. The source also said that Brolin was released after a few hours and it was reported that the incident was not a fight.

Brolin was freed after making bail amounting to $334. Wright was not included in the police records until Saturday evening. Oliver Stone’s movie, “W”, is based on the presidency and life of George W. Bush and started filming in May. Wright plays the role of Secretary of State Colin Powell while Brolin plays the role of President Bush. Thandie Newton and Elizabeth Banks are also in the crew of the film but they were not at all involved in the bar incident.

Brolin was enjoying a fruitful career with “In the Valley of Elah”, “No Country for Old Men” and “American Gangster” before this recent incident happened making him a much talked about actor. “No Country for Old Men” received an Academy Award for Best Picture.  Wright won an award for “Angels in America.”
