US presidential candidates speak out on differences on Pakistan issue
Washington: McCain and Obama speak out on their differences about Pakistan issue. Obama backed the bill to increase military assistance to Pakistan by $7.5 billion in the next 5 years and also wants US troops to start man hunt inside Pakistani territory to hunt down Osama bin Ladin. McCain on the other hand says unilateral operation inside Pakistan would not be right.

Kuala Lumpur (AP): The Malaysian opposition leader Anwer Ibrahim was taken into police custody for the second time in this decade on charges of sodomy. Mr. Ibrahim 61, refuses such allegations, rejecting them as untrue.
Saudi King Abdullah appeals to ‘END DISPUTES’
Madrid (AFP): During the inaugural session of the ‘Inter Faith’ dialog, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia said that let this conference be the platform of ending disputes between the major religions. He said “ We all believe in one God… We are meeting here today to say that religion should be a means to iron out differences and not to lead to disputes,”

London: Civil servants and union council workers went on strike in England, Northern Ireland and Wales on pay dispute. The strike stared on Wednesday morning.
Iran and US ready to sit and discuss nuclear issue
Washington (AFP): For the first time in 30 years the US and the Iranian diplomats will meet to discuss Iran’s nuclear program. The US under secretary William Burns will be attending the meeting on Saturday.
