Lahore: Former Doctor, chief surgeon of Meo Hospital Lahore filed a law suit against political bigwigs in Lahore courts. The doctor was falsely implicated in case of raping an injured girl. The chief minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and other political heavy weights of the then ruling party tried to build their political grounds by filing false FIR against the doctor. The court, after proceedings of the case, found out that the charges against the doctor were baseless. The court has now issued non bailable warrants for former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Manulana Fazulr Rehman- the JUI chief, the current PPP MNA Farzana Raja and many others. The doctor claims that their politically motivated act has damaged the doctors reputation including his job. He claims Rs.4.8 billion in damages.
PPP on right track - coalition with PMl-N intact
Islamabad: Senator, Mian Raza Rabbani, while speaking to the DAWN correspondent said that there are differences in opinion in the PPP and PML-N but that does not mean that their is any threat to the coalition. Differences are the part of democratic process and these can be solved with dialog and understanding. He further hinted in the change in policy towards war against terror. He said that the path that PPP had taken was not liked by the West. Pakistan Peoples Party had adapted the 3 pronged policy of Benazir Bhutto to educate people on not to take part in terrorist activities, economic development of the country and use force where necessary.

Kabul: Nato forces came under heavy rocket fire from across Pakistani boarder. Both the Nato and Pakistani forces jointly replied to the attack in self defense using heavy artillery and helicopters targeting a compound that was pointed out of the place of origin of the attacks on Nato forcess.
Does government have a plan to salvage the Stock Market at Karachi
Karachi: With Karachi Stock Exchange downfall continuing with the 15th consecutive trading session, there are no indicators that government has any plan to arrest the current meltdown at the stock exchange. The traders and the investors are waiting for “Equity Market Opportunity Fund” yet till now the size of the fund is unknown and the participating banks and financial institution have kept the mum over their amount of investment in the fund. Market speculation expects the fund size to be Rs.50 billion.
The Karachi Stock exchange index lost 278.96 points till our going to press today.
Pakistan cheapest supplier of Clothing & Apparel in the world market
Islamabad: The clothing and apparel export sector of Pakistan is in doldrums. The industry is fetching the lowest price in the world as compared to its competitors thus leading to reduction in the investment by the clothing and apparel industry leaders. The import of clothing machinery has also gone down significantly.
According to the sources, the policies implemented by the previous government are responsible for the low pricing factor and has made Pakistan cheapest supplier in the world market.
