Islamabad: Like the precedents set in the previous meetings between Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif where many things are decided and agreed upon only to see later that Asif Ali Zardari backs out. Yesterday’s 6 hours long meeting between the coalition partners ended on the decision that the ruling coalition will ask President Musharraf to step down. If the President did not oblige the parties will move for impeachment of the President.
Tehrik - i - Taliban ready to launch country wide terrorist attacks
Khar: Tehrik-i-Taliban’s deputy chief Maulana Faqir Mohammad and Maulvi omar told media yesterday that Tehrik-i-Taliban are ready to launch suicide attacks on high profile government functionaries in all major cities of the country including the city of Karachi through their new force of highly motivated boys and girls.
Pakistani neuroscientist detained by the US facing charges of assault
New York: Dr. Afia Siddiqui whose detention was recently confirmed by the US has been taken to the US where she would be facing trial on attempting to kill US personnel. She had been taken away by the investigation agencies 5 years ago from Karachi and since then her whereabouts were unknown.
Italian mountaineer climbed down 28,250 foot after disaster at the world second highest peak
Islamabad (AP): Known as the last survivor, the Italian mountaineer accompanied with people belonging to other countries started climbing K2 just to face sever disaster at the peak that left 11 of his fellow climbers dead. He descended after being stranded for 4 days at high altitude. He descended safely and is reported to in a generally good condition.
Karachi Stock exchange regains supported by the leading financial institutions
Karachi: Karachi Stock Exchange managed to close just above 10,000 mark at 10,0042 points after gaining 189.29 points. The leading financial institutions extended a helping hand to bring the KSE in the positive tone. The analysts doubt whether the stock exchange would be able to maintain the positive trend in the next trading session.
