Coalition partners keep twisting and turning on key issues – No solution yet

Islamabad: Though PML-N and PPP leaders met and agreed on key points like restoration of judiciary and impeachment of the President a day before and had decided to update their party members and ministers on their decision yesterday but the parties found themselves in a grinding machine when a deadlock occurred between the party leaders talks.

Nawaz Sharif left from Zardari House and did not want to carry out any further discussion as PPP law makers had send a summery to the president for reinstatement of Judges of Sindh High court to be signed which was against the spirits of terms being discussed in the meetings and against the Murree declaration signed earlier. This particular act by the ruling party created a buzz. like previous time, once again Asif Ali LZardari stabbed in the back of his coalition partners. The people of the country were taken as hostage as till late last night no clear results came in picture. Only reports of the movement of the ruling coalition party chiefs from Zardari House to Punjab House were being reported.

President Musharraf prepares to face charge sheet

Islamabad: While the coalition is still undecided on the key issues, President of Pakistan met his loyalists from PML-Q and the top officials of the law department. He has decided to face the charge sheet and reply to the charges that might be levied by the ruling coalition. The sources close to the President revealed that he said “I will defeat those who try to push me to the wall,” sources quoted the president as saying. “If they use their right to try to oust me I have the right to defend myself. I will go down fighting but will not give in to those who are doing so to create more political divisions.”

Security forces kill key Taliban leader along with 13 militants

Mingora: Key Taliban commander Ali Bakth who was a close contact of Maulana Fazullah was killed along with his 13 loyalists yesterday. They were gunned down after exchange of heavy exchange of fire that continued for over an hour

US court denies bail to Aasifa Siddiqui

New York: Weak Aasifa Siddiqui, Pakistani neuroscientist, helps by her lawyers appeared before the US court in Manhattan yesterday. The court denied bail to Aasifa. She is being prosecuted by the US court on charges of attempting to kill an FBI agent and American soldiers while she was being held in custody in Kabul.

Stocks fail to maintain the positive mood yesterday

Karachi: The analysts proved right. Just a day before after being rescued by the financial institutions, the stocks exchange turned to a positive mood. The analysts predicted that stock might fail to continue their positive trend over night. The stocks fell below 10,000 points marks with the fall of 363.65. The KE-100 index stood at 9,678.82 points at the close of the days trading session.
