Wichita, Kansas (CaymanMama.com) — Many airlines have banked on providing satisfaction to their passengers by offering them the facility of rolling out Wi-Fi Internet connections and live television on some flights. Continental Airlines has recently decided that it would be adding luxurious lie-flat seats in business class so that passengers can easily recline while watching their favorite videos or enjoying their favorite music. Apart from watching television and listening to music, travelers will also be provided with the services of charging their iPods along with having easy access to headsets, USB plugs and laptop power.

So far, the airlines have shown slow results in adopting the Wi-Fi services even when travelers were in extreme need to have easy access to messaging and emailing services. By offering Wi-Fi access, the financially failing airline services would add highly required revenue to  along with meeting the needs of numerous passengers. Senior analyst, Darryl Schoolar reported that airports are among the most important spots for wireless Internet connection. People use wireless connections for pleasure and business purposes and airlines serve as the next best frontier.

Airlines are still fighting with business models in order to have these services even as they have tried to make their planes lighter in order to make them more fuel efficient. While American Airlines is making improvement by providing travelers with full Internet connection and accessibility, Continental Airlines has made plans to provide messaging and television program services. Even Delta Airlines provides wireless connection in the Flier Lounges but not during flights.

All Continental passengers will be provided with the facility of sending instant messages or emails without paying extra fees.
